HEPCO Inc. is looking for an Junior Crew Surveyor to join one of our prestigious clients in the Civil and land development.

We are seeking experienced surveyor to perform as Survey Party Chief to work under a Licensed Surveyor; must be able to work alone and/or lead team in performing general surveying and mapping (topographic, boundary replacement, construction, hazardous waste site, and as-built surveying and mapping), and hydrographic surveying and mapping.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the internal departments to prepare work orders
• Communicate job goals, schedule, and budget with the field team
• Perform baseline control surveys per NYSDOT & NYSTWA standards.
• Responsible for daily digital data processing/downloading from data collectors

Office work will include data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey programs and AutoCAD. Employer will provide 40-hour HAZWOPER training

Requirements:
At least 3 years' experience with survey field data, calculations, coordinate systems, and interpreting legal descriptions and deeds for property line verification

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Carlson Survey software
• 3D Scanning experience a plus
• GPS Network adjustment experience a plus
• Ability to read and understand various construction and utility documents
• Valid NYS driver's license & ability to travel for duration of long assignments
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, and through outdoor weather conditions during project assignments
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong math skills (incl. recording in Word/Excel) Professional references required
