Job Description

For our esteemed client, we are seeking an Electrical Engineering Drafter IV to play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of Combat Vehicle systems. Working closely with their electrical engineering staff, you'll contribute to various stages of the design/build process, from generating engineering models to aiding in the documentation of complex vehicle systems. Your expertise in PTC Creo will be pivotal in creating designs and drawings of electrical and electro/mechanical components, ensuring seamless integration within vehicle subsystems.

  • Collaborate with the client's electrical engineering staff to support the Combat Vehicle design/build process.
  • Generate or update engineering models, drawings, and specifications using PTC Creo.
  • Design and draft electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Create designs and drawings of electrical components, harness assemblies, and installations using PTC Creo and Creo Cabling.
  • Work with both Electrical and Mechanical design teams to integrate complex vehicle systems.
  • Aid in the documentation of new or existing 3D models and loading models to the document management system using PTC Creo.
  • Assist in the design and documentation of military systems and vehicles, including cable interconnect diagrams and electronic enclosures.
  • Gain hands-on combat vehicle experience through review, installation, and testing processes.

Skills Required:

  • Experience working with electrical/electronic systems.
  • Sound understanding of Creo CAD modeling, design, and drafting techniques (minimum 1 year).
  • Experience with design, routing, and drawings of wiring harness assemblies.
  • Understanding of model and drawing generation utilizing Creo and Creo Cabling.
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 standards.
Experience Required:
  • 1 year of Creo Design experience.

Education Required:

  • Associate Degree in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical engineering and electro-mechanical engineering tools is highly desired.
