Electrical Estimator, Construction (On-site)
Job Description
What You’ll Do:
- Estimate Costs: Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects, including conceptual, design-build, and general tender work.
- Calculate & Analyze: Independently calculate materials, labor, and equipment costs based on proposals, plans, and specifications.
- Detail-Oriented: Review data to determine material and labor needs, and create detailed itemized lists.
- Secure Quotes: Draft requests for quotations to get competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Tech-Savvy: Use estimating software (e.g., Accubid Classic or Anywhere) for precise cost calculations.
- Collaborate: Work with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads.
- Additional Duties: Take on extra responsibilities as needed to meet company goals.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent trade experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.
- Skill Set: Proficiency in developing electrical service quotes/estimates, understanding of electrical sub-trades, and the ability to interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and professional skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
Salary:
- $75,000 - $95,000 per year (depending on experience)
