Facilities Design Engineer (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of electrical equipment, workspace requirements, and associated power systems for offices and laboratories.
- Knowledge of emergency systems, including generators, ATS, and lighting inverters.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
- Utilize CAD/Revit for modeling electrical needs, data runs, and relevant documentation.
- Maintain building facilities, equipment, and machinery; coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with building safety codes.
- Manage projects related to building commissioning and energy audits.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate electrical systems into large-scale projects.
- Conduct site surveys to inform design activities.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and documents; communicate effectively with team members.
- Develop material lists, scopes of work, and equipment specifications.
- Understand Facilities Management processes and policies.
- Assist the Procurement Office with service and material orders; ensure accuracy of invoices.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the workplace.
- Perform visits to various site locations, including labs and production areas.
- Implement sustainability initiatives and energy reduction plans in collaboration with site leadership.
- Optimize systems to reduce energy consumption and enhance performance.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Expertise in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is a plus.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements and work in an indoor office environment.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Facilities Engineering/Project Manager role or similar.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LEED accreditation is a plus.
- Knowledge of Revit is advantageous.

Pay Range: $45.00 - $48.75 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
