Field Inspector (Hybrid)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Field Inspector to support the delivery of energy efficiency programs to commercial and industrial customers throughout New Jersey. This role is essential in ensuring the successful implementation of energy efficiency initiatives by conducting site inspections, verifying project scopes, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule site visits with commercial and industrial customers across New Jersey.
- Confirm project scopes of work with customers and ensure alignment with project applications and records.
- Conduct inspections to document existing building conditions, operations, and schedules, and identify potential efficiency measures.
- Verify compliance with program requirements.
- Develop inspection reports summarizing on-site findings, including photographs and action items to resolve discrepancies.
- Utilize program workbooks and manage the inspector queue.
- Review and analyze pipeline data/reporting.
- Complete assigned work on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with building owners, operations staff, and contractors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Residency within the State of New Jersey.
- Reliable transportation for site visits throughout New Jersey, with responsibility for vehicle maintenance and fees.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Aptitude for understanding building science, including mechanical, electrical, and/or weatherization technologies across various building types.
- Strong computer and record-keeping skills, with proficiency in MS Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Ability to work effectively and respectfully with culturally diverse customers and contractors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience conducting energy efficiency inspections for commercial and/or industrial buildings.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree with at least four years of relevant experience.

Pay Range: $28.84 - $31.25 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
