Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician V to provide comprehensive IT support for desktop/laptop and server systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software issues, ensuring seamless functionality for end-users.

  • Provide IT support for desktop/laptop and server systems to meet customer needs.
  • Assist users with the installation of hardware, software, and networking components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot individual or multiple computer systems to maintain proper functioning.
  • Resolve issues by contacting and collaborating with vendors as necessary.
  • Research, analyze, and provide recommendations for hardware/software purchases, including ordering information.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex end-user hardware/software issues related to networks, desktops, printers, remote access software, VoIP, mobile devices, and Microsoft Office and operating systems (Win XP, Vista, Win 7, Win 10).
  • Perform new computer configurations and coordinate the workstation upgrade/replacement process.
  • Participate in the deployment of new software platforms.
  • Track user requests for equipment and problem reporting by opening cases and maintaining current case histories.
  • Verify issue resolution with the customer and close cases appropriately.

Required Skills:

  • Hardware/Software Proficiency: Experience with McAfee, Microsoft OS (XP, Win 7, Win 10), MS Office Suite, MS Server 2003/2008.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Self-Motivation: Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge Base: Comprehensive understanding of computer hardware, software, terminology, systems, and local area networks.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support role.
  • Active Secret clearance required to start.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.

Pay Range: $34.00 - $37.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
