Heavy Civil Construction Experienced Project Engineer (On-site)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer for our client, a leading firm in heavy civil construction. In this direct-hire role, you will be at the heart of project execution, ensuring that all aspects of construction are meticulously managed. You will act as the central point of information between the field and office, overseeing budgets, schedules, and the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budget Management: Create, maintain, and adjust project budgets as needed.
  • Schedule Development: Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Change Orders: Process and manage change orders effectively.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Oversee and manage subcontractor activities.
  • Purchase Agreements: Write and manage purchase agreements and orders.
  • Material Tracking: Track and order materials, ensuring accurate quantities and timely delivery.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with owners, inspectors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the client’s project managers and administrative staff to support project goals.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, specifically in grading and mass excavation.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational abilities, and effective time management.
  • Driving Record: Clean driving record required due to the safe operation of a company vehicle.

Salary - $100,000 - $130,00 a year depending on experience.
