Manufacturing Quality Engineer (On-site), non-IT role
Job Description
We're seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for our client's products. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of product quality within assigned programs, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide oversight of all aspects of product quality, including inspection methods, data collection, and analysis.
- Investigate and implement corrective actions for non-conforming materials, ensuring on-time submission and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate Material Review Board activities and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Gather and report quality metrics for assigned programs on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance departmental and program capabilities.
- Interface with government quality oversight agencies and customer representatives as required.
Skills Required:
- Experience with government quality oversight and familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Ability to obtain security clearance.
- Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, SPC techniques, and PFMEA.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field, with at least two years of Quality Assurance experience, or equivalent.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 standard.
- Demonstrated strength in planning and time management.
