Job Description

HEPCO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our clients team. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products through inspections, research, and certification documentation. Working in a team environment, you will review and inspect products, compile certification packets, and collaborate with government inspectors.

  • Conduct product inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Research and gather all necessary documentation required for product certification.
  • Collaborate with team members to review and verify product certifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive certification packets for submission to government inspectors.
  • Utilize GD&T principles and basic blueprint reading skills to assess product quality.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions using methodologies such as 5-Why, 8-D, A3, and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Evaluate product inspection results and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Generate accurate reports on product inspection findings and certification status.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to organize and analyze quality-related data.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain compliance with security clearance requirements.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in GD&T principles and basic blueprint reading.
  • Experience in conducting corrective actions using methodologies such as 5-Why, 8-D, A3, and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Familiarity with reviewing product certifications and ensuring compliance.
  • Strong product inspection and evaluation capabilities.
  • Ability to create and process comprehensive reports.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data organization and analysis.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a high-paced manufacturing environment in a quality-related role.
  • Demonstrated experience in product inspections and evaluation.
  • Proven track record in creating and implementing corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with various quality methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in reviewing product certifications and ensuring compliance.

Education Required:

  • Preferred 4-year Engineering Degree. However, extensive years of relevant experience can substitute for the degree requirement.
