We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our client’s dynamic team. This role involves a diverse range of tasks across software requirements analysis, design, implementation, documentation, hardware-software integration, troubleshooting, and software verification testing.

• Develop, maintain, upgrade, and port embedded product software and support software to enhance project/system functionality.
• Collaborate within the software project team and with other engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Systems Engineering.
• Ensure technical approaches are aligned with established engineering principles and practices.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in object-oriented design and C++ coding.
• Strong experience in unit testing of embedded software.
• Familiarity with version control and issue tracking tools.
• Active security clearance

Skills Preferred:

• Experience in integrating or testing software on bare metal or with real-time operating systems like vxWorks and Linux/Unix derivatives.
• Ability to utilize software modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect or MagicDraw (Cameo).

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing.

Experience Preferred:

• Experience in developing and troubleshooting communications, device drivers, and I/O systems.
• Familiarity with NI TestStand.
• Understanding of weapon systems, munitions, and combat vehicle functionality.
• Experience with GitLab or other CI/CD tools.

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

Education Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
