Project Analyst II (On-site)
Job Description
Our client, a leader in the defense and government services sector, is seeking a Project Analyst II to provide direct project management support for Government Logistics events. This role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of logistics initiatives through meticulous planning, coordination, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a balance of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strong interpersonal capabilities, with experience in defense or military-related environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support execution of government logistics events from initiation through completion
- Develop detailed plans and day-by-day event schedules
- Coordinate logistics requirements including tools, parts, and materials
- Prepare and print documents for review during events
- Track and report metrics based on daily progress and overall event performance
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including military and government personnel
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a project management support role
- Highly proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite, with specialized expertise in:
- Excel (pivot tables, macros, data modeling, advanced analysis)
- MS Project (Gantt charts, timeline management, resource allocation)
- Deltek Open Plan (complex scheduling, resource leveling, critical path analysis)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to thrive in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments
- Associate’s degree or 2 years of military experience, preferably with business coursework
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience identifying cost-saving opportunities, conducting audits, and implementing process improvements
- Familiarity with military vehicles (e.g., Abrams, Bradley, HMMWV, JLTV) and maintenance operations
- Knowledge of military documentation and technical standards (e.g., TM 9- series, MIL-STD-40051, AR 25-30, S1000D)
- Background in supply management, property accountability, or logistics in a military context
- Strong analytical abilities and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to build effective relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders in defense contracting environments

Pay Range: $33.00 - $35.40 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
