Sr. Procurement Agent (On-site)
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Agent for one of our esteemed clients.
Position Summary: The Senior Procurement Agent plays a pivotal role in researching, analyzing, and securing various products and services for our client. This individual will be responsible for assessing supplier proposals, ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines and company policies, and aligning procurement strategies with strategic company objectives. The Senior Procurement Agent will also be tasked with developing purchasing standard methodologies, sourcing new product streams, acquiring new vendors, and optimizing procurement processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate extensive reports including cost analysis, monthly procurement distribution reports, quarterly and annual compliance reports, and ad hoc requests.
- Enhance purchase order (PO) compliance metrics by improving timeliness of PO creation, approvals, and payments.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather specific information required for procurements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with vendors, resolving issues and ensuring smooth communication.
- Enforce purchasing guidelines and evaluate order and bid documentation for proper acquisition of supplies and services within compliance guidelines.
- Manage vendor relationships, review contracts, and analyze vendor performance.
- Develop KPIs and monthly reporting by department, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Oversee open orders, data entry, and resolution of invoice discrepancies.
- Coordinate competitive proposal evaluations and negotiate with vendors for the best terms.
- Advise on efficient procurement methods and counsel requestors on product availability and economic factors.
- Act as a subject matter expert in project life cycle phases and activities for new system implementations and rollouts.
- Participate in testing, training, and documentation development for procurement processes.
- Continuously monitor procurement procedures for improvements and implement standardized forms and documentation requirements.
- Maintain purchasing information, electronic files, and records for compliance and audit purposes.
- Prepare various documentation such as price analysis, vendor selection, and market surveys.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and a minimum of five years' experience in procurement administration.
- Experience in preparing RFQs/RFPs/RFIs is essential.
- Strong data analysis skills, particularly in analyzing vendor performance and providing benchmarking and metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience with Net Suite and Oracle is preferred.
- Ability to perform reporting functions and critical analysis to drive business goals and efficiencies.
- Knowledge of New York State procurement procedures is a plus.

Pay Range: $44.00 - $48.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
