Manufacturing Line Technician 2 (On-site)
Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Line Technician 2 for a direct hire opportunity with our client. This role is critical to supporting equipment installation, ongoing upkeep, and maintenance for a plating fabrication facility. The successful candidate will collaborate with third-party contractors and be hands-on in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining process equipment. - Assist with the installation of all equipment for the plating fabrication facility.
- Coordinate with rigging companies for equipment placement.
- Collaborate with third-party contractors for utility support (plumbing, wiring, air, etc.).
- Provide ongoing support for day-to-day equipment upkeep.
- React to and repair process equipment as needed.
- Support wet and dry processes (vertical and horizontal operations).
- Train on protective equipment maintenance (plastic welding, mechanical wiring, etc.).
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
- Develop and implement systems to track and ensure calibration schedules and frequencies.
- Schedule and coordinate with contractors for all PM requirements.
- Manage equipment upgrades, including utilities and installation.
- Establish an inventory system for spare parts and catalog all inventory.
- Develop and document safety training requirements for equipment technicians (respirator training, PPE, etc.).
- Travel to equipment suppliers to oversee builds and identify maintenance requirements.
Education / Qualifications:
- 2 – 3 years of experience in an equipment maintenance role.
- Associates degree or relevant certification/experience in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
- Willingness to learn and handle wet process equipment maintenance and required PPE.
- Experience maintaining all aspects of a plating operation (horizontal/vertical processes, wet and dry chemical processes).
- Knowledge of PPE protocols to support the team and training efforts.
- Experience maintaining and enforcing proactive preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair process equipment, chemical interactions, and equipment processes.
- Strong organizational and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification required (training provided if not certified).
Salary:
- $53,200.00 - $86,450.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
