We are seeking an Accountant I to join our client's team. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including the preparation, analysis, review, verification, and reconciliation of financial records and reports. This role will involve working with areas such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, General Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, and Payroll Accounting.

• Prepare Journal Entries and perform Reconciliations for assigned responsibilities.
• Prepare Tax reports and personal property tax returns.
• Physically audit Fixed Assets and manage additions, disposals, and related reports.
• Prepare data for insurance reporting.
• Prepare depreciation forecasts for rates and budgets.
• Manage capital requests and monitor project spending.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of accounting modules within applicable ERP systems.
• Maintain accurate records and files in accordance with retention policies.
• Ensure confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Proficiency in computer systems and various software programs.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Skills Preferred:

• Experience with MAPICS XA ERP system.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAGE fixed asset software.

Experience Preferred:

• 1-3+ years of experience managing fixed assets.
