Shipping Administrator (On-site)
Job Description
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrator to join our client's team. This role will focus on managing and preparing shipping documentation for both contractual and non-contractual products in accordance with government, customer, and commercial standards. Key responsibilities include providing daily administrative support within the shipping department, ensuring compliance with Export and ITAR requirements for international shipments, and interacting with internal government officials.
- Prepare and manage all required shipping documentation, including Government Bills of Lading, air bills, and bar code labels.
- Ensure all shipping documentation adheres to government, customer, and commercial standards.
- Provide administrative support for daily shipping activities, ensuring the timely processing of company documents and maintaining accurate shipping records and files.
- Interface with in-house government officials and communicate effectively with various levels of management.
- Ensure compliance with Export and ITAR requirements for all international shipments.
- Manage monthly audit documents and maintain accurate files as required.
- Adhere to FARS and DFARS regulations.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in Transportation, Shipping, Manufacturing, or an equivalent field.
- Must have prior government domestic and international shipping experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to comprehend and understand contracts.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Ability to obtain a Secret government clearance.
Skills Preferred:
- Experience in shipping/transportation compliance.
- Familiarity with government regulations, specifically FARS and DFARS.
