Planner Specialist/Facilities (On-site)
Job Description
We are seeking a Planner Specialist / Facilities professional to serve as the central point of contact for office strategies and workplace environment solutions within a professional office setting. Working under the direction of the Facilities Manager, this role coordinates planning and utilization of new facilities, renovations, layouts, equipment updates, and utilities support. Responsibilities also include modernization, maintenance coordination, and ensuring ergonomic, OSHA, and EPA compliance in accordance with local, state, and federal codes.
- Assist with office interior design including layouts, fit outs, furniture selection, and overall coordination
- Perform space planning for new and existing areas in alignment with company standards for furniture, finishes, and appearance
- Monitor and coordinate maintenance staff and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project scope and schedules
- Coordinate with Safety and other departments to ensure ergonomic practices are implemented and maintained, including follow up audits
- Utilize Computer Aided Layout and Planning Systems; AutoCAD experience is required
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all federal, state, and local regulations during project execution
- Serve as the primary interface with site leadership and internal departments to understand organizational direction and evolving workplace needs
- Forecast space requirements based on business conditions and develop executable space plans aligned with corporate objectives
- Facilitate discussions regarding space requirements including headcount growth, allocations, adjacencies, and specialized support needs
- Execute change management processes for unplanned and special project requests
- Develop occupancy plans aligned with strategic goals and establish project objectives, timelines, and portfolio level solutions
Required Skills and Abilities
- B.S. degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent education
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite including MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel, along with CAD software
- Strong analytical, communication, and spatial visualization skills
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulatory requirements
- Experience with project management and cross functional coordination
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- 3 to 5 or more years of experience in space planning, interior design, or corporate real estate
- Hands on experience using AutoCAD for layout and planning

Pay Range: $42.00 - $47.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
