Assembler (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated and versatile assembler to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the world’s most advanced electronics, including technologies used in defense and aerospace systems.
- Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and modules using visual aids, prints, wiring lists, and process sheets.
- Work independently and as part of a team to assemble, disassemble, and modify production subassemblies.
- Perform wire termination, cable assembly, value torquing, and other mechanical assembly tasks with great attention to detail.
- Inspect assembled products to ensure conformance to J-STD-001 and IPC-610 standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and quality assurance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Follow engineering drawings, schematics, and inspection manuals to complete assembly and modifications.
- Support various production and prototype projects using your electronic/electrical assembly skills.
Skills Required:
- High School Diploma, Trade School, or GED and 5+ years of related experience.
- Proficient in soldering per J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience with electronic mechanical assembly.
- Strong computer literacy and attention to detail.
- Experience with microscope work.
- Knowledge of electronics fundamentals, including passive and active components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical data such as blueprints, schematics, and system specifications.
- Skilled in performing assembly operations and troubleshooting to ensure high standards of quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with soldering wire and operating assembly equipment such as spray guns and stencil cutting machines.
- Experience with conformal coating, potting, or encapsulation.
- Active J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certifications.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience as an electronic assembler, ideally with experience in advanced soldering and electronic mechanical assembly.
- Ability to lift and carry objects and use various tools as required.
Education Required:
- High School Diploma, Trade School, or GED with 5+ years of related experience.
Work Hours:
- 4/10 schedule (Monday-Thursday)
- Typical shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform occasional bending, reaching, and stooping.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
