Assembler (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking an Electrical Assembler to support onsite manufacturing operations. This role supports the assembly of advanced electronic and electromechanical systems. Candidates must be detail-oriented, quality-driven, and comfortable working in a structured production environment.
Schedule
- 4/10 – 2nd shift (Monday–Thursday), typically 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
Responsibilities include:
- Assemble electromechanical and electronic components and subassemblies
- Perform hand soldering, rework, and hand coating
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Assemble, disassemble, and modify production subassemblies following work plans
- Inspect parts, materials, and finished assemblies to ensure quality and conformance
- Utilize fixturing to accurately build assemblies
- Manually solder or epoxy electrical components
- Operate solder reflow ovens, semi-automatic pick-and-place machines, and automated measurement systems
- Work in a clean room environment as required
- Use computer systems for MRP and production data collection
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Required qualifications:
- High School diploma or Trade School education
- Proven hand soldering experience (required)
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Rework and hand coating experience
- IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD certifications
- Completion of J-STD Modules 1, 3, and 6 preferred
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
