Assembler (On-site)
Job Description
HEPCO is seeking an Assembler for our client to support 1st shift operations at their manufacturing facility. Due to the nature of this role, this position will be performed 100% on-site.
Position Summary
The Assembler will perform soldering and/or hand assembly on a variety of circuit card assemblies and mechanical chassis. This role requires attention to detail, quality focus, and the ability to follow precise written instructions in a manufacturing environment.
- Assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, kits, and modules using provided tooling and machinery
- Perform wiring of subassemblies using wiring lists and diagrams
- Complete routing instructions and process sheets accurately
- Verify and inspect products to ensure conformance to specifications; perform rework as needed
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly operations using standard measuring tools and techniques
- Follow work orders, policies, and procedures
- Perform soldering and inspection when certified
- Cross-train in other assembly areas as required
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
Required Skills
- Basic computer skills and typing ability
- Mechanical assembly experience and/or aptitude
- Strong focus on quality and detail
- Ability to pass a Visual Acuity Screening Test (VAST)
- Pursuant to a specific U.S. Government contract, selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Two (2) years of High School or Trade School education
Preferred Skills
- Ability to hand solder to J-STD / IPC-610 Class 3 standards (training provided if needed)
- Circuit card wiring experience
- Hand assembly of circuit card and mechanical components
- Rework experience with conformal coating
Preferred Experience
- Electrical assembly or circuit card manufacturing experience
- Experience using software to track work in progress (WIP), quality, and inventory (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Lean Six Sigma training
- Experience assembling delicate mechanical parts
- J-STD / IPC-610 soldering experience
- Circuit card wiring experience
- Conformal coating rework experience

Pay Range: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
