Assembler I (On-site)
Job Description
HEPCO Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Assembler for our client to support the production of electronic and mechanical assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a team player who is present, engaged, and committed to contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for assembling both electronic and mechanical assemblies, directly supporting the production of innovative technologies. You will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive production work to more complex, non-repetitive assembly using both manual and powered hand tools. A strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement is essential.
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components and assemblies using manual and power tools
- Perform assembly, disassembly, modification, testing, repair, and rework of various products
- Follow work instructions and log daily tasks and time worked in the system
- Support team objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues
- Maintain quality and safety standards throughout all production activities
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School education (minimum 2 years required)
- Ability to follow work instructions and use a computer for task tracking
- Ability to use manual hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Good manual dexterity and ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to pass a Visual Acuity Standard Test (VAST) or have correctable vision, including color vision
- Willingness to be trained
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying conformal coating
- Soldering experience with electrical components
- Knowledge of surface mount technology and assembly processes
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
Additional Information
Pay rate is $19.50/hr for a first shift position
