Job Description

Our client is seeking an Auditor to support the Office of the University Controller (OUC) with a primary focus on ensuring timely GASB approvals in the procurement system and working on the creation and updating of leases in the Lease Administration module. This role is critical in enabling prompt payment processing upon receipt of invoices while the OUC manages the FY24 year-end close and audit.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient with financial systems, and possess knowledge of GASB reporting requirements (specifically GASB 87, 94, and 96).

Key Responsibilities:
• Review all documentation submitted with requisitions to determine compliance with GASB 87, 94, or 96 requirements.
• Review and update lease information in the Lease Administration module, ensuring that all contract data is current and consistent with the latest contractual agreements.
• Approve payments in Lease Administration for processing based on submitted invoices.
• Prepare year-end journal entries related to Lease Administration.
• Analyze and review FY24 Central and College contracts in the Lease Administration module, collaborating with relevant departments on sample testing for the FY24 audit.
• Monitor, follow up, and collect deliverables from departments related to Lease Administration.
• Reconcile Lease Administration data against the General Ledger and Asset Management records, preparing centralized reconciliations.
• Assist the OUC with FY24 audit deliverables related to GASB 87/94/96.
• Collaborate with departments and technical support teams to resolve any Lease Administration system errors.
• Support the Capital Assets team during the FY25 monthly closes of Asset Management.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
• Knowledge of GASB reporting requirements, specifically GASB 87, 94, and 96, strongly preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel functions (vlookup, pivot tables, sorting, etc.) for complex data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong numerical analysis, research, and evaluation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Strong follow-up skills and ability to complete tasks within deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Professional accounting or financial licensure/certification preferred.
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in auditing, accounting, or financial analysis.

Pay Range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
