We are seeking a dynamic Communications Consultant to support our client's Renewables and Energy Solutions (RES) business group. Our client is at the forefront of implementing Clean Energy Future programs, and this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of impactful initiatives shaping the future of energy.

Position Overview: As a Communications Consultant, you will play a crucial role in advancing the RES group's business objectives by crafting strategic communications for both internal and external audiences. Collaborating closely with internal teams, you will develop creative and impactful messaging to support Clean Energy Future programs and initiatives. From drafting press releases to preparing internal presentations, your contributions will be instrumental in driving awareness and engagement with RES initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare various communication materials, including articles, press releases, statements, briefing documents, internal communications, and presentations.
• Support leaders at events and during media interviews, ensuring messaging alignment with RES objectives.
• Pitch and secure media opportunities, as well as respond to media inquiries in a timely manner.
• Develop and manage internal communications, such as employee newsletters, to foster engagement and alignment with RES goals.
• Collaborate with web and creative services staff, as well as external marketing agencies, to ensure cohesive communication strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, including senior executives and technical staff, leveraging these connections to enhance communication effectiveness.
• Take ownership of projects from concept to launch, aligning themes across various communication channels.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or Business preferred.
• 6-8 years of experience in public relations and communications.
• Proven experience in media relations, including developing storylines, pitching reporters, and producing press materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strategic thinker with the capacity to align communications strategies with business objectives.
• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset with the initiative to take decisive action.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including clients, customers, partners, and vendors.
• Familiarity with social media and its application to business communications.
• Marketing skills and mindset are a plus.
