HEPCO Inc. is actively seeking talented mid-level and senior Database Administrators to join our team, pending the successful award of associated work supporting the US Navy in Newport, Rhode Island. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital project for the defense industry.

• Identify and define necessary data elements, data formats, and system connectivity requirements.
• Design, normalize, develop, document, install, implement, test and validate, enhance, maintain, and optimize database objects.
• Create comprehensive data models to ensure portability of database tables based on customer specifications.
• Develop extraction, transformation, and loading code for data integration from multiple sources into data stores.
• Generate complex database queries and generate reports or data extracts in various exportable formats.

Experience Requirements:

Mid-level candidates:

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience providing support for DoD contracts, with a preference for Navy-specific experience (though not required).
• Familiarity with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Microsoft Access.
• Proficiency in some of the following tools and products: MS Project, MS Office Suite, MS System Center Suite, Visio, Adobe.

Senior candidates:

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience supporting DoD contracts, with a preference for Navy-specific experience (though not required).
• Extensive knowledge of databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Microsoft Access.
• Proficiency in some of the following tools and products: MS Project, MS Office Suite, MS System Center Suite, Visio, Adobe.

Educational Requirements:

Mid-level candidates:

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Data Management or a related field. OR
• One of the following certifications: Security+, GSEC, SSCP.

Senior candidates:

• Master's degree (MS/MA) in Data Management or a related field. OR
• One of the following professional certifications: CISM, CISSP, CASP, or GSLC.
