Document Controls Specialist (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated Document Control Specialists to join the Record Management Center within their Electric Transmission & Distribution (ET&D) Organization. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in document control or records management, particularly within engineering or construction environments.
- Develop and maintain document control and records management systems for the P&C ET&D organization.
- Utilize file transfer protocols and procedures effectively.
- Provide support for ET&D using the document management software, McLaren.
- Communicate effectively with architectural and engineering firms, as well as internal engineers, to address issues and conflicts related to drawings.
- Plan, organize, and collaborate with team leaders to collect and assess information.
- Work with diverse teams to understand and meet their documentation needs.
- Support the Records Management Center with database updates and logs.
- Train new staff and architectural & engineering (A&E) teams on document control processes.
- Assist with plotting/printing requests from project teams and organize physical drawing packages for field personnel.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma.
- Proficiency in computer technology and software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong communication skills with various stakeholders, including Project Management, Construction, A&E, and IP Engineering personnel.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment and respecting diversity.
- Ability to lift drawing packages exceeding 20 lbs.
- Capacity to work standing for extended periods while scanning and operating engineering plotter equipment.
Desired:
- College degree or relevant certification.
- 1-3 years of experience in document control or a related field.
- Familiarity with OCE, Client, or other plotting equipment.
- Knowledge of SharePoint, FileNet, shared drives, and document management systems, particularly McLaren.
- Basic knowledge of MicroStation.
- Experience with a utility company.

Pay Range: $20.50 - $22.50 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
