ESS Test Technician (On-site)
Job Description
We are seeking an ESS Test Technician to support our client’s Engineering and Production teams. This position is responsible for performing operational and environmental testing on complex electronic components and subassemblies to ensure performance and reliability.
- Perform operational tests on complex electronic production components and subassemblies
- Support Engineering and Production teams with environmental testing activities
- Assist higher level technicians in the performance of more complex testing procedures
- Set up and operate environmental test equipment including vibration systems and thermal cycling equipment
- Conduct simulated environmental tests following standard procedures and engineering instructions
- Set up and use monitoring and control instrumentation including:
- Thermocouples and temperature monitoring systems
- Data loggers
- Vibration control and accelerometer systems
- Pressure and airflow instrumentation
- Utilize a variety of electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), logic analyzers, and automated test systems
- Compile product data and prepare complete test data packages, including quality and defect documentation
- Maintain accurate test logbooks and test records
- Follow engineering procedures, work instructions, and verbal directions as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Direct experience working with Unholtz Dickie or similar vibration systems supporting engineering qualification efforts
- Experience with vibration profile development
- Experience working with Thermotron temperature chambers
- Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
Preferred
- Experience with RF testing
Schedule
- Candidates will initially work a Monday–Thursday 4/10 schedule for training and certification before transitioning to a weekend shift.
- Regular Schedule: 4th Shift – Friday through Sunday, typically 5:00 AM to 6:30 PM
