Electrical Construction Project Manager II (On-site)
Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to join our client's team. Our client is a prominent organization in the construction industry, renowned for delivering high-quality projects in the electrical sector.
Position Overview: As an Electrical Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing electrical construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Your expertise in electrical engineering and construction management will be instrumental in driving project success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical construction projects from initiation to closeout.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with stakeholders.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with contract documents and specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare and submit project progress reports to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and external partners.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction project management.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering electrical construction projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership ability to motivate and guide project teams.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) preferred but not required.
Monday- Friday, Weekend/night shift may also be required to support the General Orders or inspections.
Hours of Work:
M-F 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Work Location:
Based out of Field Offices in NY but requires 70% travel within the Five Boroughs of New York City.
