Electrical Construction Project Manager III (On-site)

Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified Electrical Construction Project Manager to fill an requirement for our esteemed client.  In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical construction projects in alignment with industry standards and best practices. If you have a background in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in project management, we encourage you to apply.

  • Ensure compliance of work with contract documents.
  • Complete all required documentation related to contracts.
  • Support inspection, quality control, and quality assurance during close-out.
  • Monitor and coordinate various project activities.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders.
  • Attend project coordination meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Ensure adherence to safety requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports regularly, including daily reports, quality and safety checklists, field condition survey reports, etc.
  • Coordinate necessary requests for services.
  • Supervise employees and manage project budget, schedules, and construction activities.
  • Follow applicable guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.
  • Alternatively, a four-year high school diploma or its equivalent along with seven years of relevant experience; or a combination of college education and experience equivalent to six years.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of full-time experience in project management roles related to large and/or complex projects.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity or as a project manager for large or complex projects.
  • Proficiency in organizing project information, preparing reports and presentations, and effectively communicating with contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with capital construction procedures, field operations, construction scheduling, and estimating.
  • Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders such as operations and engineering personnel.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Access, and Excel; experience in Computer Aided Design & Drafting ("CADD”) preferred.
Normal Work Week:
Monday- Friday, Weekend/night shift may also be required to support the General Orders or inspections.

Hours of Work:
M-F 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Work Location:
Based out of Field Offices in NY but requires 70% travel within the Five Boroughs of New York City.
