Electrical Design Engineer (On-site)
Job Description
We are looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer, for a direct hire role, with 1-3 years of experience to provide technical design services under the guidance of a senior engineer. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, have a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. This role involves working on diverse projects, including water resources engineering, and requires a flexible schedule, reliability, and the ability to travel throughout the NYC Metro Area.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with senior engineering staff, management, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform engineering design evaluations and lead project engineering design with a focus on Electrical Engineering.
- Work on the engineering design and coordination of various projects, emphasizing water resources engineering projects.
- Conduct design calculations, prepare construction drawings, and develop technical specifications.
- Provide construction oversight and perform field inspections to ensure quality control assurance.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering design and drafting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an approved equal; engineering students in their final year are encouraged to apply.
- EIT certification is a plus or the ability to obtain it.
- Proficiency in Microsoft, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Previous AutoCAD experience, knowledge in shop drawings, and drafting practices.
- Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License or a nearby state license.
