Electrical Engineer II (On-site)
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer II to support the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of highly complex military systems for our client. This role requires a driven and skilled individual who is ready to work on cutting-edge military technologies including combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Development: Design, modify, and evaluate electrical and electronic systems and components, utilizing advanced modeling and analysis tools.
- System Integration: Create product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration/verification procedures for military systems.
- Vendor Evaluation: Assess vendor capabilities, technologies, and services to ensure timely and effective product delivery.
- Engineering Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product applications.
- Collaboration: Work under the general direction of a project engineering lead, contributing to the overall system design process.
Skills Required:
- Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development challenges.
- Proficiency in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings.
- Strong experience in creating and managing interface control documents.
- Proficient in circuit simulation using tools like PSpice or LTspice.
Skills Preferred:
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW, Test Stand, RS485, J-Tag, CANBus.
- Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Experience Required:
- Hands-on experience in analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
- Experience in developing technical documentation such as drawings, reports, and technical analysis.
Experience Preferred:
- Experience in engineering design for wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military systems.
- Familiarity with programming National Instruments test equipment using LabView and Test Stand.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 1+ year of relevant experience.
Pay Range: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
