Our client, a leader in electrical contracting, is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team on a direct hire basis. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of electrical projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects, encompassing conceptual, design-build, and general tender work.
• Independently calculate material, labor, and equipment costs based on project proposals, plans, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review project data to determine material and labor requirements, creating detailed itemized lists.
• Draft requests for quotations (RFQs) to solicit competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Utilize estimating software (e.g., Accubid Classic, Anywhere) to perform precise cost calculations.
• Collaborate closely with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads for each estimate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet company objectives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent trade experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in developing electrical service quotes/estimates.
• Knowledge of electrical sub-trades scope of work.
• Solid understanding of electrical drawings and the ability to interpret schematics and P&IDs.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel); knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software is a plus.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, contractors, and other business partners.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 3 years (Preferred)
