Electronic Assembler II (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking an Electronic Assembler II to join their team on a full-time, onsite basis. This role requires hands-on work in a production environment supporting advanced electronics within the aerospace and defense industry.
Position Overview:
The Electronic Assembler II will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and inspecting electromechanical components and subassemblies. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical documentation, and experience working in a clean room or production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts for electromechanical equipment following work instructions, schematics, and blueprints
- Perform hand soldering, connector installation, and epoxy (tack bond) application
- Inspect assemblies to ensure quality and conformance to specifications
- Disassemble and modify production subassemblies as needed
- Utilize fixturing, solder reflow ovens, and semi-automated equipment
- Support production accuracy, quality standards, and continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of High School or Trade School education
- Hands-on soldering experience (IPC Class 3 preferred)
- Experience with rework and mechanical or epoxy bonding
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications (Modules 1, 3, 6 preferred)
- Experience with selective solder and high-volume wave soldering
- Familiarity with AOI and AXI (X-ray) inspection
- Experience working with MRP systems and basic computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Schedule:
2nd Shift – Monday through Thursday, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM (4/10 schedule)
Candidates must be comfortable working this shift.
