Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced electrical/electronic technician to join their team in the Electrical Engineering Lab. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of complex electronic products and equipment. Responsibilities include design, development, fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair.

  • Proficient use of electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
  • Fabrication, assembly, testing, and inspection according to engineering specifications.
  • Conducting tests and generating report data.
  • Collaboration within a group or team environment.
  • Experience with assembling electronic and mechanical components.
  • Assembling, reworking, and repairing circuit boards with surface mount and through-hole components.
  • Fabricating electrical parts from sketches/drawings and preparing samples for testing.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with safety policies.

Skills Preferred:

  • Proficient use of complex fabrication equipment.
  • Fabrication and assembly to precise tolerances and standards.
  • Understanding complex engineering drawings and information.
  • Assisting engineers in designing and developing new electronic systems and test equipment.
  • Developing schematics, design specifications, and parts lists.
  • Reviewing designs and specifications of test equipment.
  • Troubleshooting electronic and electrical systems.
  • Creating test procedures, conducting tests, analyzing data, and writing reports.
  • Knowledge or proficiency in manufacturing and quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years as a technician performing related tasks in either a production or prototype environment.

Education Required:

  • 2-year technical degree.
