Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team. The successful candidate will perform plant and project engineering duties, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Key responsibilities include:

• Work with a multi-discipline engineering team to perform plant and project engineering tasks.
• Select construction materials and methods, write specifications, supervise and prepare mechanical drawings.
• Perform mechanical engineering analyses in areas such as steam systems, hydraulic systems, pumping/piping systems, HVAC systems, machinery design/layout, process cooling/heating systems, and storage tank/vessel design.
• Conduct inspections of buildings, equipment, and pipelines to assess integrity and safety, recommending modifications as necessary.
• Develop plans and schedules for the construction phase of projects, ensuring availability of materials, equipment, and personnel.
• Ensure work is performed per plans, specifications, and best construction practices, while managing costs during execution.
• Create detailed project proposals, scopes of work, and estimates.
• Review and approve design packages from equipment suppliers and design firms, providing constructability input.
• Execute commissioning plans and maintain necessary documentation.
• Ensure safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of work and design.

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and Design.
• Proficient in CADD tools (AutoCAD, Pipe Stress Analysis, Vessel Design).
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, API codes and Standards).

Experience Required:

• 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and Design.

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university (a closely related degree may be considered).
