Engineer Senior Mechanical (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team. The successful candidate will perform plant and project engineering duties, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Key responsibilities include:
- Work with a multi-discipline engineering team to perform plant and project engineering tasks.
- Select construction materials and methods, write specifications, supervise and prepare mechanical drawings.
- Perform mechanical engineering analyses in areas such as steam systems, hydraulic systems, pumping/piping systems, HVAC systems, machinery design/layout, process cooling/heating systems, and storage tank/vessel design.
- Conduct inspections of buildings, equipment, and pipelines to assess integrity and safety, recommending modifications as necessary.
- Develop plans and schedules for the construction phase of projects, ensuring availability of materials, equipment, and personnel.
- Ensure work is performed per plans, specifications, and best construction practices, while managing costs during execution.
- Create detailed project proposals, scopes of work, and estimates.
- Review and approve design packages from equipment suppliers and design firms, providing constructability input.
- Execute commissioning plans and maintain necessary documentation.
- Ensure safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of work and design.
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and Design.
- Proficient in CADD tools (AutoCAD, Pipe Stress Analysis, Vessel Design).
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, API codes and Standards).
Experience Required:
- 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and Design.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university (a closely related degree may be considered).

Pay Range: $75.00 - $90.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
