Production Equipment Technician (On-site)
Job Description
Client is hiring! We are seeking three Production Equipment Technicians to join a growing team in South Windsor, CT. These roles support three different shifts. The ideal candidate will maintain production equipment to ensure maximum availability and reliability. Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting archival storage and retrieval systems (file-based servers).
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance; troubleshoot equipment issues promptly
- Respond to technical support calls in a timely manner to ensure resolution
- Accurately log all support calls and work details into the technician tracking system (e.g., FIIX)
- Install electrical wiring and controls for production equipment; install, troubleshoot, and repair related computer hardware
- Relocate and support the installation of new equipment as directed
- Track parts usage and suggest inventory level adjustments to leadership and Inventory Analyst
- Contribute to a positive work environment and team morale
- Provide performance feedback on junior technicians to leadership
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements including all maintenance records and tracking database usage
- Consistently follow all safety procedures
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational education preferred
- Vendor/equipment repair certification preferred but not required (Blue Crest, Bowe, Buhrs, etc.)
- 3+ years’ experience in a production environment with hands-on equipment repair
- Proven experience working with high-speed production equipment
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to take direction and work under time constraints
- Ability to stand for full shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and move 25+ lbs throughout the shift
- 2–5 years of experience
Shifts Available:
- LWN – Wed, Thu, Fri & Alt Sat | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- LWD – Thu, Fri, Sat & Alt Wed | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- EWD – Sun, Mon, Tue & Alt Wed | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Base salary: $45,760 – $54,080 (Depending on experience and qualifications)
