Job Description

HEPCO  is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Facility Engineer for our clients York facility. As a Project Facility Engineer, you will play a vital role in planning, coordinating, executing, and delivering low to mid-level capital projects that support all business functions, particularly facilities infrastructure. Your primary goal will be to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality products to our valued customers. This position follows a 9/80 schedule, working from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with every other Friday off.

  • Specify requirements and write purchase requisitions for facility items and projects.
  • Manage various subcontracted construction projects, including demolition, electrical, mechanical, structural, carpentry, painting, floor coverings, and furniture.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, reviewing requested work, writing work orders, inspecting work, and approving payments.
  • Manage Architectural and Engineering firms involved in project engineering work as required.
  • Support safety and environmental objectives by adhering to policies, conducting area audits, addressing issues, supporting risk reduction reviews/actions, and participating in sustainability improvement projects.
  • Ensure proper financial management by applying expenses to the correct Cost Center and Account assignments, and completing projects within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Assist in reviewing documentation associated with low to mid-level complexity projects, including bids, statements of work, and project authorizations.
  • Coordinate and oversee the completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle for facilities-related construction projects.
  • Submit purchase order requisitions through Oracle-based software.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to fostering a safe work environment.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, schedule, and cost throughout the organization.
  • Perform multiple additional duties and other tasks as assigned by the department manager.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of related facilities project experience.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
