Field Service Tech IV (On-site) No C2C
Job Description
- Provide desktop/laptop and some server IT support for customers.
- Install hardware/software and networking components to meet personal computer needs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with individual or multiple computer systems.
- Resolve issues, including contacting and assisting vendors.
- Research, analyze, and provide hardware/software recommendations to users.
- Perform new computer configurations and coordinate workstation upgrade/replacement process.
- Participate in the deployment of new software platforms.
- Track user requests for equipment and problem reporting, keeping case histories current.
- Verify problem resolution with the customer and close cases accordingly.
Skills Required:
- Experience with McAfee.
- Proficiency in MS OS (XP, Win 7, Win 10), MS Office Suite, and MS Server 2003/2008.
- Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Thorough knowledge of computer hardware, software, and terminology.
- Familiarity with computer systems and local area networks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT support role.
Education Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
Additional Information:
- Active Secret clearance is a hard requirement.
