Job Description
As a Cybersecurity Engineering Lead, you will design, prototype, and support security-related infrastructure and applications for our client. Your role is crucial in identifying and mitigating security risks to networks and systems. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and open-source enterprise security tools and has the adaptability to learn new technologies to counter evolving threat landscapes.
Engineering Duties & Responsibilities:
- Architect and design new enterprise tools; upgrade existing infrastructure.
- Operate seamlessly in a Linux or other shell command-line environments.
- Provide security application support, emphasizing automated script development.
- Generate necessary documentation, including but not limited to DFARS, Compliance, Visio network & cabling diagrams, configuration guides, user tutorials, user/system requirements, use cases, traceability matrices.
- Research, prototype, and deploy novel security-related technologies.
- Collaborate closely with our 24/7 GSOC, ensuring their operational needs are met.
- Mentor and train team members as a lead engineer.
- Aid in overseeing and managing team functions.

Skills Required:
- Demonstrated initiative and a strong work ethic.
- Proficient team collaboration and solo working abilities.
- Proven troubleshooting skills.
- Passion for cybersecurity.
- Extensive Linux command-line experience.
- Solid scripting skills in languages such as bash, perl, python, yaml.
- Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and security principles.
- Familiarity with networking protocols including SSL, TLS, DNS, TCP/IP, ARP, BGP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, ICMP, etc.
- Experience with major enterprise tools.
Experience Required:
- 14+ Years with High School Diploma
- 10+ Years with Associate Degree
- 8+ Years with Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ Years with Master's Degree
- 3+ Years with PhD
