Manufacturing Quality Engineer (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team. This role involves inspecting products, researching, and completing certification documentation for inspected products. The Senior Quality Engineer will work in a team environment, reviewing, inspecting, and assembling certification packets of products to present to government inspectors.
- Inspect and evaluate products for quality assurance.
- Research and complete certification documentation for inspected products.
- Collaborate in a team environment to review, inspect, and compile certification packets.
- Present certification packets to government inspectors.
- Create and process detailed reports.
- Utilize corrective action tools such as 5-Why, 8-D, A3, and Fishbone diagrams to address quality issues.
- Communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
Skills Required:
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency is essential).
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Basic blueprint reading skills.
- Experience in corrective actions (5-Why, 8-D, A3, and Fishbone diagrams).
- Experience in reviewing product certifications.
- Strong product inspection and evaluation skills.
- Ability to create and process detailed reports.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, specifically in the quality field.
Education Required:
- A 4-year Engineering Degree is preferred; however, extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
