Statistical Assistant (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Statistical Assistant to support data governance, analytics, and reporting initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional with strong experience working with complex data sets, statistical methods, and data management tools in a fast-paced environment.
- Support data governance efforts including data quality, cataloging, and metadata management
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather updates and prepare status reports and presentations
- Collaborate across teams to support data-related projects and initiatives
- Perform data analysis and develop data definitions and business requirements
- Compile and compute data using statistical formulas for analytical and statistical studies
- Prepare charts, graphs, and reports to support decision-making
- Assist with actuarial-related data analysis as needed
- Develop and maintain documentation including reports, guides, and policies
- Facilitate meetings and contribute to data governance forums
- Automate manual processes and reporting using technical tools
- Work with business users and analysts to develop data strategies and solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing statistical analysis and data computation
- Strong experience working with complex data sets
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, macros, and data analysis
- Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
- Experience with data governance and cataloging tools (Informatica, Collibra, Alation, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Salesforce and Snowflake
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
- Ability to develop metrics, dashboards, and presentations
