Production Equipment Technician (On-Site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Production Equipment Technician to maintain production equipment and ensure maximum availability and reliability. This role is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting installation and repair of production-related systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a production environment and be comfortable maintaining high-speed production equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure reliability and uptime
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and respond to technical support calls in a timely manner
- Log all service calls and maintenance work in the technician tracking system (e.g., FIIX) to ensure accurate tracking of labor and parts usage
- Install electrical wiring and controls for production-related equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware connected to production systems
- Assist with relocation of production equipment and support installation of new equipment as required
- Track parts usage and provide input regarding recommended inventory levels to management and inventory staff
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in accordance with OSHA and EPA requirements
- Follow all safety procedures and workplace standards
- Support a positive team environment and contribute to overall team morale
- Provide feedback to leadership regarding performance of junior technicians when applicable
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
- Vendor or equipment repair certification preferred but not required (e.g., BlueCrest, Bowe, Buhrs insertion platforms)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a production environment with equipment repair responsibilities
- Proven ability to operate and repair high-speed production equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under time constraints and follow direction effectively
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for the duration of the assigned shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and move 25+ pounds during the shift
Monday to Friday
6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Off-Peak Hours)
5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Peak Hours)
Compensation
$49,920 – $52,000 annually (Depending on experience and qualifications)
