Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Specialist to support the operational delivery of commercial and residential energy efficiency programs. This role is critical in ensuring projects move smoothly through required milestones by working closely with Energy Consultants, Installation Partners, and customers. The Project Specialist will be responsible for project setup, document verification, accurate project reviews, and processing rebate payments while maintaining high levels of customer and contractor satisfaction.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multi-queue environment, demonstrates exceptional accuracy, and is comfortable reviewing a variety of technical and administrative documentation to progress applications through the required stages.

  • Support project creation, documentation verification, and rebate processing for energy efficiency projects
  • Manage multiple dashboard queues to ensure projects are consistently progressing based on contractor and customer responses
  • Validate project requirements and ensure accuracy at every stage of review
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM to advance applications through required milestones
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure timely communication and resolution of issues
  • Identify and escalate exceptions or concerns for prompt resolution
  • Provide feedback to improve program processes and delivery effectiveness
  • Monitor volume trends to prevent processing delays
  • Cross-train team members on program requirements
  • Participate in local marketing events and conferences in the New Brunswick, NJ area

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to understand, follow, and execute established procedures
  • Comfortable managing shifting priorities and multitasking in a dynamic environment
  • Working knowledge of invoice review, equipment specifications, and operational documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience working with Excel workbooks and document uploads
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Prior experience supporting energy efficiency programs
  • Professional presence with a desire to improve processes and exceed program goals

Desired Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and strong Excel capabilities
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred
  • Three or more years of experience supporting customer-focused programs
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer, client, and partner relationships
  • Ability to present program details to groups for recruitment and participation initiatives

Pay Range: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
