Job Description

Our client is seeking an Outreach Professional to support a large-scale energy efficiency program serving commercial and industrial customers throughout New Jersey. This role focuses on building relationships, generating project leads, and promoting energy efficiency solutions to businesses and trade allies. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and engage contractors, engineering firms, manufacturers, distributors, and consultants as program trade allies
  • Collaborate with building owners, property managers, and facility engineers to identify eligible energy efficiency projects
  • Represent the program at industry events, meetings, and outreach activities
  • Develop and deliver presentations to drive program participation and project activity
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings
  • Track outreach and sales activity using CRM systems
  • Generate and manage leads to support program energy savings goals
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to participation, energy savings, and lead generation
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction objectives
  • Maintain a professional appearance as a representative of the program and utility

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a similar role
  • Strong ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to diverse audiences
  • Proven experience generating and converting sales leads
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems
  • Team-oriented with a positive, collaborative attitude
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within New Jersey
  • Ability to perform physical fieldwork, including standing, walking, kneeling, and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the energy efficiency or utility industry
  • LEED, CEM, or similar certifications

Pay Range: $36.05 - $45.67 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
