PLM Programmer (On-site)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PLM Programmer Analyst to join our client’s team. You will work with an experienced and creative PLM team to build applications that support the development of advanced technology and optimize the processes to bring those products to market. This role will involve:
- Building and supporting PLM capabilities, such as Bill of Material (BOM) management and change management.
- Creating new capabilities and extending those from the PLM vendor.
- Enhancing the environment to support AS9145 processes and unite engineering development artifacts as a “digital thread,” bringing to life a Model Based Engineering (MBE) capability.
- Supporting and presenting a complete product information set.
- Providing customer support to a diverse population ensuring the system can meet their requirements.
- Developing an integrated model between Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems and the PLM central database.
- Integrating systems using various techniques including web services and database connections.
- Upgrading PLM environments to maintain supportability, compliance, and take advantage of the latest software developments.
- Installing new releases, exploring new features, and analyzing and planning an upgrade process.
- Analyzing infrastructure components and the various services underpinning the PLM environment, including RHEL servers, TomEE, JavaScript, REST APIs, Java programs, and log mining.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, RESTful services, Tcl, SQL, PLM, MBE, code management, application debugging, and software testing methodologies.
Skills Preferred:
- Experience with PTC Windchill.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or software development.
- Working knowledge of PLM and experience implementing PLM applications.
- 5+ years of experience in implementing PLM solutions.
- Strong understanding of Java, JavaScript, RESTful services, Tcl, SQL, PLM, MBE, code management, application debugging, and software testing methodologies.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or software development.
