Our client, a prominent financial services institution, is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their team. As a Paralegal specializing in consumer financial services, you will play a vital role in managing and resolving consumer complaints efficiently and effectively.

• Handle a variety of consumer financial services complaints promptly and efficiently.
• Review the financial institution’s responses to complaints and draft concise summaries of disputes.
• Correspond with consumers, providing them with appropriate letters to conclude their cases.
• Respond to inquiries from consumers via phone or in writing, addressing their complaints or general issues with financial services.
• Guide consumers through complaint filing procedures or direct them to relevant government agencies when necessary.
• Code incoming complaints accurately and initiate the appropriate correspondence.
• Identify cases requiring urgent attention and escalate them to supervisors for resolution.
• Research new financial services respondents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and gather contact information for complaint handling.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless handling and resolution of consumer complaints.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of experience working as a paralegal.
• Proficient knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
