Paralegal (On-site)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support a legal team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal processes, case coordination, and document management, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Coordinate logistics for legal hearings, including managing case details, tracking deadlines, and ensuring all parties are prepared.
- Handle the operation of postage meters and manage the process for sending legal documents via certified mail.
- Field incoming calls, determine the nature of the legal issue, and route inquiries to the appropriate attorney or relevant department.
- Coordinate the service of legal documents, ensuring they are processed in accordance with legal requirements.
- Process invoices for process service companies and maintain accurate records of payments and services.
- Assist attorneys with preparing, organizing, and filing legal documents for hearings, meetings, and other legal proceedings.
- Work independently on case details and manage multiple tasks while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with sensitive legal documents and client information.
- Maintain an organized workspace and manage legal files, documents, and communications.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating and managing legal documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Experience coordinating logistics for legal hearings, including case management and deadline tracking.
- Proficiency in the operation of a postage meter and sending legal documents via certified mail.
- Strong experience in fielding incoming calls, determining the legal subject matter, and appropriately routing inquiries.
- Experience coordinating service of legal documents and maintaining case tracking.
- Knowledge of invoice processing for legal service providers and other vendors.
- Ability to work with confidential information and handle sensitive legal documents in a secure manner.
- Ability to work during standard business hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with flexibility to work overtime on short notice as required.
