Planner/ Scheduler (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a qualified Planner/Scheduler to manage the scheduling of multiple CMAV/CNO and commercial projects. The Planner/Scheduler will play a key role in ensuring project timelines are met and operations run smoothly by performing the following tasks:
- Maintain and update schedule data across various projects.
- Develop project schedules, ensuring operations are sequenced to meet completion dates based on key milestones, production forecasts, and customer work specifications.
- Perform validation and quality health checks on project schedules to meet industry standards for status and reporting.
- Coordinate with production teams and subcontractors to gather progress updates and assess impacts on key milestones.
- Analyze project schedules, highlighting critical path activities and identifying any delays compared to the baseline.
- Ensure compliance with company scheduling procedures for setting and maintaining baseline schedules.
- Maintain continuous communication with customers, Project Managers, and teams on project progress.
- Prepare weekly schedule narratives, outlining project statuses and deliverables.
- Create scheduling scenarios ("what if" analyses) to evaluate the impact of new or growth work on existing schedules.
- Ensure adherence to safety handbook protocols and enforce proper safety measures.
Skills Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint).
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Physically and medically qualified to wear required personal protective equipment.
Skills Preferred:
- Familiarity with additional scheduling tools or software (e.g., Primavera, Open Plan).
- Knowledge of the ship repair or naval operations industry.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of ship repair or Navy experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Open Plan.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Pay Range: $28.50 - $31.50 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
