Planner/Scheduler (On-site)
Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Planner/Scheduler to join our client's team. This role involves managing day-to-day relationships with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating resources, and ensuring efficient work progression in alignment with established policies and processes.
Position Description: As a Planner/Scheduler, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating schedules, resources, and priorities to meet the needs of various stakeholders. From facilitating scheduling meetings to managing work backlogs and resolving conflicts, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations. Additionally, you may be called upon to supervise field personnel during storm restoration events or periods of supervisory absence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their scheduling needs.
- Schedule resources and coordinate work progression to deliver solutions in line with policies and processes.
- Facilitate scheduling meetings with key stakeholders to explain decisions, review strategy, and support policy implementation.
- Attend work plan meetings to discuss aggregate workload and make necessary adjustments.
- Determine resource strategies, including roving, overtime, and contractor usage, to ensure efficient scheduling and resolve conflicts.
- Communicate scheduled priorities and changes across lines of business effectively.
- Manage backlog of work available for scheduling and assist with overall backlog management.
- Coordinate appointments, schedule outages, resolve inquiries, and handle necessary communications with customers.
- Supervise field/contractor personnel during storm restoration events or periods of supervisory absence.
- Collaborate with Inside Plant management to schedule capital and O&M work.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in commercial nuclear power plant operations, engineering, scheduling, planning, maintenance, or construction.
- Understanding of complex computerized scheduling methods and maintenance information systems.
Experience Levels:
- Intermediate: Up to approximately 4 years of relevant experience; requires some managerial oversight/direction.
- Advanced: At least 4 years of relevant experience; requires minimal managerial oversight/direction.
- Expert: Approximately 7+ years of relevant experience; requires very limited managerial oversight/direction.
