Principal Programmer Analyst (Remote)
Job Description
Our client seeks a highly skilled Principal Programmer Analyst to join their team. You will manage and develop the Cognos environment, including reports/dashboards, administration, customization, and security. Regularly interact with customers to analyze requirements, develop solutions, and deliver training and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage the Cognos environment.
- Develop reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos 10.2 or higher.
- Administer clustered Cognos environments, perform health checks, and manage user security.
- Conduct requirements analysis and confirm with customers.
- Develop user training and documentation.
Required Skills and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5-10+ years of experience in IT.
- 5+ years with IBM Cognos 10.2 or higher.
- Experience with clustered Cognos environments, Deltek CostPoint, Time Collection, and GovWin (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing (Kimball and Inmon methodologies).
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills (Oracle).
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Visio.
- Strong requirements analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with JavaScript, XML, Java, and Cognos SDK.
