Process Technician (On-site)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Process Technician to support production operations in a manufacturing environment focused on advanced electronic systems. This position will provide hands-on support within the Select Solder production cell and play an important role in maintaining process performance, product quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on soldering experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborating with engineering and production teams.
- Provide production support within the Select Solder cell
- Build products from written instructions by operating a select soldering machine
- Inspect products and perform rework as required
- Operate select solder equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Provide feedback on process performance and collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturing processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment
- Follow quality standards and manufacturing procedures to ensure product integrity
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency
Required Skills
- 2+ years of direct experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating select solder or wave solder equipment
- Experience with manual soldering and product inspection
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Hands-on experience with select solder and wave solder processes
- Experience with manual soldering
- Experience performing product inspection
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Skills
- J-STD or IPC certification
- Rework certification
- Associate degree
