Project Engineer Transmission and Distribution Services (Hybrid)
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer – Transmission and Distribution Services to support our client in overseeing transmission and distribution (T&D) systems. In this role, you will provide administrative support and perform reviews of engineering drawings and technical documentation related to the operation, maintenance, and improvement of T&D systems. This position requires a combination of organizational skills, technical understanding, and a proactive approach to supporting engineering and consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for T&D projects, including preparing reports, maintaining records, and managing project correspondence.
- Review, organize, and verify the accuracy of engineering drawings and technical documents, ensuring compliance with design criteria and industry standards.
- Assist in coordinating audits, technical reviews, and asset management processes.
- Support system planning efforts, including renewable energy integration (DER) and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure initiatives.
- Monitor and document performance metrics related to system reliability, condition, and lifecycle cost management.
- Facilitate communication between engineering teams, technical consultants, and stakeholders to optimize project workflows.
- Contribute to emergency planning and storm restoration documentation.
- Support workforce development initiatives, training programs, and benchmarking to align with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of administrative or technical experience in the utility, engineering, or a related industry.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, design standards, and T&D operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and document management systems.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical documents to ensure compliance with standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of T&D system planning, asset management, and maintenance programs.
- Experience in probabilistic risk assessment or investment strategy evaluation.
- Familiarity with storm restoration management and emergency planning processes.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid work setup with occasional site visits to assess construction methods or support system audits.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, consultants, and utility stakeholders.

Pay Range: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
